The Garden

The Georgian Lodge is set in 6 acres with 3 acres of well-established gardens including camellias, gardenias, rhododendrons, flowering cherry trees. The native ferns and flax are abundant in the sub-tropical water gardens with its ponds and water features. Where there is also an abundance of wild life, such as pukeko,  rosela parrots, resident ducks, king fisher and quail and of course the delightful tui.

The Guest’s lounge room opens out onto a paved area with table and chairs and is a wonderful suntrap in the winter months and ideal for Alfresco breakfasts in the summertime.

The entrance to the lodge is alive with a variety of rose bushes and the fragrance of Wisteria and Bougainvillea.

Guests may relax in the pagoda that overlooks the largest pond or explore the terraced garden and stepped pathways.

Two very special residents that enjoy meeting our guests and having cuddles.
