Kerikeri is closer than you think! Only 3 hours north of Auckland, or 1 hour north of Whangarei, Kerikeri is the commercial centre of the Bay of Islands with the beautiful beaches and Bay cruises in  Paihia only 30 minutes away.

Kerikeri is a tropical and boutique town which boasts “quality and relaxed lifestyle” as its main attraction.  The town has 20 cafes, designer boutiques and  numerous restaurants, art galleries and wineries.  Kerikeri is the home of many interesting and world famous family businesses such as Makana Chocolates and Living Nature cosmetics. There are many historical attractions such as the Stone Store and Kemp House( two of the oldest buildings in NZ)  in the Kerikeri Basin.

  • Do the Wine Trail (5 vineyards less than 10 minutes from each other – both Ake Ake Winery and Marsden Estate have fabulous restaurants)
  • Nature lovers can walk the Rainbow Falls Track or visit Puketi Forest
  • Visit the Stone Store, Kemp House and the art galleries
  • See the historic Waitangi Treaty house and take the ferry across to Russell, enjoy lunch at the Duke of Marlborough and visit the wonderful Russell cinema.
